Title:
VIBRATION ISOLATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5940032
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make both the measure to encounter the vibration at idle running and the measure to encounter the dragging motion phenomenon effective simultaneously by a method wherein the spring constant and the damping coefficient are made variable in the vibration isolator for engine mounting. CONSTITUTION:A chamber space 12 communicated to the open air is formed between diaphragms 9 and 10. The amount of fluid flowing in or out of a chamber space 13 formed beneath the diaphragm 9 is controlled by a fluid amount control device, to which the chamber space is connected through a fluid port 15. When the chamber space 12 is formed to exist, the change of inner pressure in a chamber space 11 followed by the elastic deformation of an annular wall member 8 is absorbed by the volumetric change of the chamber space 12, resulting in showing comparatively small spring constant and damping coefficient. When the chamber space 12 is brought into substantially naught state due to the increase of the liquid in the chamber space 13 through the fluid port 15, fluid flows through a throttle passage 21 in proportion to the change of inner pressure in the chamber space 11 followed by the elastic deformation of the annular wall member 8, resulting in showing comparatively large spring constant and damping coefficient.
