PURPOSE: To provide such a vibration limiting device that is fixedly secured on a material so as to control vibration generated on the material which is fixed on a ground or a floor surface.

CONSTITUTION: A cylinder 1 is fixed on an object and a screw rod 2 is rotatably journalled to its both lids la. A nut 4 is threaded around the screw rod 2 by a ball screw. A spring bearing 5 fixed to the nut 4 is engaged with key grooves 1b formed by boring the inside face of the cylinder and the nut is only allowed axial movement. Springs 6 are inserted between the spring bearing 5 and both lids 1a respectively. Projection parts are provided on both ends of the screw rod and weight bodies 7 are fixed thereto. A pair of magnets 8 which are mounted on the inside face of the extension part of the cylinder are made to face to the outer circumference of the weight bodies.
