Title:
VIBRATION METER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5518946
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simplify the non-contact type vibration meter and to improve the measuring accuracy by arranging the vibration meter to face a weight, which is set as a spacial stationary point, at a preset spacing inbetween and by measuring the vibration amplitude itself.

CONSTITUTION: When a rotor 9 is vibrated, the vibrations are transmitted through a shoe 8, an insulating rod 7 and a connecting pipe 6 to a mounting frame 15. The non-contact type vibration meter 13 which is fixed to the frame 15 is vibrated in a vertical direction so that the spacing from a weight 12 which is the spacial stationary point is varied at an amplitude equal to the vibration amplitude of the rotor 9. As a result, the amplitude of the axial vibrations to be transmitted through the shoe 8 to the connecting pipe 6 can be directly measured so that the meter itself can be simplified and that the measuring accuracy can be improved.
