Abstract:
PURPOSE: To calculate a correction quantity S fast by a relatively simple device by the method which calculates the correction quantity S for image data Dorg on a pixel Fc at the center position of a mask of M columns × rows shifted by one pixel respectively from the total sum ζ Dorg of image data on respective pixels in the mask and corrects the image data Dorg according to the correction quantity S.
CONSTITUTION: Image data regarding two areas are stored in 1st and 2nd FIFO type memories 11 and 12 in order and the sum C of the image data on N pixels from the front of each column in a mask movement direction is stored in a column memory 13. Each time new image data Din is written, the image data Dorg is read out of the 1st memory 11 and image data Dold is read out of the 2nd memory 12; after the sum C of image data of the foremost column in the mask stored in the column memory 13 is updated into C+Din-Dold, the sum C of the respective image data of M columns in the mask 20 is added to obtain the total sum ζ Dorg of the image data.
