PURPOSE: To reduce vibration and noise given to a hull from a diesel engine, and prevent and relieve the vibration by installing the first and second stopper brackets which are erected on a foundation floor and a middle base plate so that they may be fixed on the middle base plate and the front and rear ends or right and left edges of the middle base plate through vibration-proof rubbers.
CONSTITUTION: This vibration-proof device is of double vibration-proof structure which supports a base plate 2 on which a diesel engine 3 and a generator 4 are installed through a vibration-proof rubber 6b on upper stage, a tall middle base plate 5 with a large mass and a vibration-proof rubber 6a on lower stage. Therefore, while it restrains the vibration in the directions of front and rear, and right and left, it reduces the vibration in a vertical direction to much more extent in comparison with a conventional one. Moreover, the four sides of the middle base plate 5 are connected to the foundation floor 1 through eight first stopper brackets 7, and the four sides of the base plate 2 are connected to the middle base plate 5 through eight second stopper bracket 8. It is thus possible to prevent and relieve the vibration in the directions of front and rear and right and left of the base plate 2, because the spring constant in the shearing direction of the vibration-proof rubbers 6 may be increased exfremely.
