PURPOSE: To measure a minute magnetic field accurately by providing a supporting stage for an object to be measured at a floor part, setting a magnetic flux meter above the stage which is fixed via a supporting stage to a ceiling part of a shielding apparatus, thereby effectively excluding vibrations from the outside.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic shielding device part A of a rectangular parallelopiped having one end opened is supported by a supporting device at a hollow part 2a of a cryostat 2 consisting of a superconducting shielding material 1 constructed with a hollow wall. A supporting stage 4 for an object to be measured is fixed at a floor part 3 of the device part A. A supporting stage 7 for a SQUID magnetic flux meter 6 is rigidly fixed to a ceiling part 8 above the stage 4. The magnetic flux meter 6 for measuring a faint magnetic field is tightly secured at the supporting stage 7. The device part A is supported by a plurality of vibration-preventing devices 9, 9 to be shut from vibrations.
