Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve sound/vibration performance by forming a space portion for lowering the initial spring constant below the second member contact surface of a vibration-proof rubber bush. CONSTITUTION:A vibration-proof rubber bush 1 has the first member receive hole 2 in the axial direction and the second member contact surface 3 and a bracket contact surface 4 respectively on one side surface and the other side surface of the outer peripheral portion. The first member 5 such as the control arm rod of a suspension is fitted in the first member receive hole 2, and the second member contact surface 3 is brought into contact with the second member 6 such as a car body frame. In order to lower the initial spring constant, a square-hole space portion 8 is formed below the second member contact surface 3, thereby to improve sound/vibration performance.
