Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the propagation of vibration and the generation of noise and to enable to control the vibration in a certain direction by providing various regions having different spring constants in a vibration reducing foot member and orienting the vibration. CONSTITUTION:A foot member 6 is an elastic column body of synthetic resin and is provided with two eliptical holes 7 boring its middle portion and with a larger diameter portion at its bottom end. Therefore, the spring constant of the region S1 having the eliptical holes is smaller than those in the upper and lower sides and can absorb vibration energy from a vibrating body. The spring constant of the larger diameter portion S2 at the bottom end is larger than those in the upper regions and can intercept the propagation of vibration. Since the spring constant at the region having a smaller spring constant is oriented in a definit direction, the direction of the vibration from a vibrating body is controlled to the direction having the smaller spring constant.
