PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration reduction device which can reduce the vibration of an internal combustion engine, and can reduce noise which is generated accompanied by the reduction of the vibration, an internal combustion engine and control method of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A vibration reduction device comprises: a primary sensor 12 which reduces the primary vibration of an engine 1; an electric motor 14 having a sub-flywheel 15 which reduces the secondary vibration of the engine 1; a gear transmission mechanism 11 which transmits power between a crank shaft 4 and a primary balancer 12; a belt transmission mechanism 13 which transmits power between the primary balancer 12 and the sub-flywheel 15; a tensioner 20 which holds the tension of a belt 13b of the belt transmission mechanism 13; an inverter 18 which performs control for starting the power running drive of the electric motor 14 when the rotation of the crank shaft 4 starts to be accelerated, and starting the regenerative drive of the electric motor 14 when the rotation of the electric motor 14 starts to be decelerated; and an ECU (control device) 19.
