PURPOSE: To delete a wide installation space and maintenance works of an attenuator, by movably arranging a weight supported by springs in the space between the walls within the container and forming a pneumatic attenuating means to give an attenuating resistance between the weight and the walls of the container.
CONSTITUTION: An almost concentric short-cylinder weight 11 with a closed cylindrical container 10 is supported within the container by coil springs 12 out of the walls 10a of the container 10 to be vertically transferable in the space between the walls 10a of the container 10 to form a pneumatic attenuating means 13 to give an attenuating resistance between the weight 11 and the container walls 10a. A required attenuating resistance can be obtained by the appropriate regulation of the clearance (h) between the weight 11 and the container walls 10a. A required vibration-resistant effect can be obtained by adopting appropriately an attenuation resistant, a spring coefficient and a weight.
