Title:
VIBRATION SUPPRESSING DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0571586
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the vibrational response over the whole region in the ordinary motion range by installing a balancer equipped with a balance weight for generating the acting farce in the direction for offsetting the vibrational external force component on the upper part of the side surface of an internal combustion engine and driving the balancer through the direct connection with the internal combustion engine.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of balancers 2 are installed on the upper part of the side surface of an internal combustion engine 1, divided from the front edge part in the axial direction of the engine, and two gears 3 are meshed in the balancer 2, and each balance weight 4 is installed on each gear 3, and an acting force is generated only in the horizontal direction. A balancer driving shaft 5 installed on one of the gears 3 is driven by a gear train 7 from a gear 6 having a crankshaft 6, and in the ordinary motion range, the vibrational external force of the engine vibration itself can be effectively offset by the balancer 2 which is directly connected with the engine. One balancer is arranged at the center part of the internal combustion engine 2, and may be driven by the gear train 7 from the gear 6 having crankshaft.
