Title:
VIBRATION WAVE MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63136983
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simply and easily support a vibrator by engaging and bonding the projection of a platelike auxiliary vibrator with the radial groove of the vibrator, and fixedly supporting the outside of the auxiliary vibrator.

CONSTITUTION: A vibration wave motor is composed of a vibrator 2 for holding a piezoelectric element plate at a base 5 and a ring platelike moving element (rotor) rotatably supported to a stationary shaft through a bearing. Many radial grooves 2a are formed on the surface of the vibrator 2 contacting the element, a projection engaged with the groove 2a is formed on a platelike auxiliary vibrator 2b, and both are bonded. The outside of the vibrator 2b is secured to the base 5, thereby so suppressing the vibrator 2 as not to rotate. Thus, the projection is bonded to the bottom of the groove 2a, the vibrator 2b becomes a spring to perform the role of absorbing the vibration. Accordingly, a vibration damper is not required.
