To obtain a vibrationproof rubber compsn. having low hysteresis loss and static shear ratio without detriment to physical properties such as tensile strength and elongation by compounding a natural rubber and/or a synthetic rubber with 2-(4'-morpholinodithio)benzothiazole.
100 pts.wt. of a rubber component comprising a synthetic rubber (e.g. a synthetic polyisoprene rubber, a polybutadiene rubber, a butyl rubber, or a styrene-butadiene rubber) and/or a natural rubber is compounded with 0.1-3.0 pts.wt. of 2-(4'-morpholinodithio)benzothiazole as a vulcanizing agent and, if necessary, 5-15 pts.wt. of a carbon black as a reinforcement and necessary amts. of ingredients such as a softener (e.g. a wax or an oil), an antioxidant, stearic acid, and zinc oxide. Thus, the vibrationproof rubber compsn. exhibiting excellent vibrationproof properties as a compsn. for rubber members for vibrationproof apparatuses, is obtained.
