PURPOSE: To provide a light and small compressor which is capable of compressing at a high speed, by providing a inflow port vibrator to open and close the flow passage of an inflow part, the vibrator of a pressurizing part to vary the volume of the flow passage of the pressurizing part into vibration, and the vibrator of a delivery port to open and close the flow passage of a delivery part.

CONSTITUTION: Three sets of two-in-a-set electrostriction vibrators having sandwich structure in which both sides of an electrostriction material 3 are nipped by an insulating material 4, an electrode 5, and a resilient insulating material 6, are contained in series in a container 1 having inlet and outlet at end parts on both sides in an axial direction and provided at an outlet with a sluice valve 2. Each sets of the electristriction vibrators are positioned facing each other with a gap therebetween reduced to zero so that they are adhered to each other during stretch thereof, and three oscillators 7 are connected to each set of electrodes. A voltage is applied, in order, on an electrostriction vibrator 3a on the inlet side, an electrostriction vibrator 3b on the central part, and an electrostriction vibrator 3c on the outlet side to orderly expand the vibrators and contract them in the same order. This constitution compresses gas introduced through an inlet and delivers it through an outlet.
