Abstract:
A vibration device comprises a reciprocable cartridge (5) provided with an air distribution system (19) having the form of a sleeve (20) with a hollow shaft (27) having "n" number of ports (29, 30) spaced equidistantly about the circumference of the shaft (27) on two sides of the partition (28). The hollow shaft (27) per se accommodates a means (32) for rotating the hollow shaft (27) by compressed air delivered from an additional compressed air source. The sleeve (20) has slots (36, 38) disposed in rows axially of the sleeve (20) in the zone of the ports (29, 30) of the hollow shaft (27) equidistantly about its circumference, each of the rows having "n" number of the slots (36, 38), the slots (36, 38) of the adjacent rows being relatively offset an angle alpha = pi /n.
