Title:
VIBRATORY TUMBLING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3806149
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve tumbling action by providing a tumbling assist means such as a shot blast mechanism or the like for applying kinetic energy to a charged material in the direction intersecting perpendicularly to the transfer direction of the charged material in a tumbling apparatus for mixing charged materials while tumbling.
CONSTITUTION: Charged materials charged in a long cylindrical container 12 are moved along a tumbling movement path by vibrating force applied to the container 12 by a vibration generating means 34 on a horizontal base plate 22 arranged along the longitudinal direction of the container 12 while tumbling and mixing and discharged from the discharge end. During such tumbling movement, shot is injected within a designated arc-like region in the container 12 from a shot blast mechanism 42 as a tumbling assist means 40 provided on one side of the container 12 to apply kinetic energy to the charged materials, thereby promoting tumbling of the charged materials. Shot after injection is recovered on a shot conveyer 50 through plural drop holes 48 and discharge openings 49 provided in the base plate 22 and reused through a separating means.
