A pair of slide pipes 3, 3 are horizontally fixed to a support 2 fixed on an upper surface of a base 1. A frame 4 is mounted slidably along the slide pipes 3, a pair of guide bars 5 extending in the direction perpendicular to the slide pipes 3 are fixed to the frame 4, and a feed screw 6 is mounted between the guide bars 5. The ridges 6a respectively toward a central part are formed on the left and right parts of an outer periphery of the feed screw 6, and vice bases 7, 8 fitted to the guide bars 5 are screwed on the ridges. By rotating a control wheel 9 mounted on one end of the feed screw 6, the pair of vice bases 7, 8 are contacted with and separated from each other, and a material is held between the vice plates 10, 11.
