To provide a vice for tying a fly, capable of tentatively fastening a hook of the fly, by magnetizing a nip member of the vice, and therefore capable of nipping and holding the fly, by setting the hook to a suitable position and direction.
This vice for tying the fly is equipped with a turn knob 8 at the rear of a grip base 6 which is attached to a support 5, and further with a turn base 10 on an opposite side to the knob, so that the turn knob 8 and the turn base 10 are movably connected by an axial rod 11 through the grip base 6 and the nip member 16 is rotatively and axially fastened to one of ends of an adjustable clipping means 13 of which the other end is movably fastened to the turn base 10, wherein the nip member 16 is formed by together combining an axial nip body 17 having a magnet 19 and a movable nip body 22 with each other, making a spring 20 intervene between the bodies, fitting a rubber ring 23 on an intermediate area of the bodies, and attaching two of adjusting screws 21 to the bodies at the front and the rear of the rubber ring 23, and the adjustable clipping means 13 is composed of a pair of adjustable clipping boards 13, 13.
