To provide a vice having a structure which is unnecessary for mainte nance and favorable in the manufacturability and the manufacturing cost which can reliably clamp two articles of different length and width and articles having dissimilar clamped surfaces.
A first accommodation hole 30 extending in the direction orthogonal to the facing direction is formed in at least any one of mouthpieces fitted to a fixed jaw and a movable jaw 16, and two second accommodation holes 32a and 32b extending along the facing direction and opened outside in a clamping surface 29 of the mouthpiece 27 are formed in the mouthpiece 27 with the first accommodation hole 30 formed therein. In addition, a slide bar 38 movable in each extending direction and clamp pins 40a and 40b are inserted in the first and second accommodation holes 30, 32a and 32b so that first and second inclined surfaces 42 and 44 consisting of corresponding respective inclined surfaces are slidably brought into contact therewith.
