To provide a vice compactly formable while holding four works, capable of holding works after being accurately positioned, and having an excellent holding operability.

Two longitudinally extending drive shafts 2 and 3 are disposed on a base 5 parallel with each other apart a specified distance from each other in lateral direction. A fixed holding body 10 and movable holding bodies 11 and 12 at the front and rear sides thereof are fitted to the drive shafts 2 and 3. The drive shafts 2 and 3 comprise a left-hand screw shaft part 27 and a right-hand screw shaft part 29 at the front and rear sides of an insert shaft part 23 allowing the fixed part 21 in fixed state to the base 5 to be longitudinally inserted therein. The front movable holding body 11 is screwed to the left-hand screw shaft part 27, and the rear movable holding body 12 is screwed to the right-hand screw shaft part 29. A front spring support part 25 and a rear spring support part 26 are installed at the front and rear sides of the insert shaft part 23. Spring members 42 and 43 are installed between the front spring support part 25 and the fixed part 21, and between the rear spring support part 26 and the fixed part 21.
