To realize a VICS receiver which can give safely and securely an information concerning traffic information obtained from an FM multiple receiver, an optical becon receiver and a radio becon receiver as well as present position or velocity of a vehicle, by using combinedly indicator and an audio output device.

The title receiver is comprised of a receiving means for traffic information such as an FM multiple receiver 1, an optical becon receiver 2, a radio becon receiver 3, etc., a position detecting device 5 for obtaining the present position of a vehicle, and a vehicle velocity detecting device 6 for detecting the velocity information of the vehicle. Further, a data processing device 4 for discriminating the information, an audio output device 7 for giving the discriminated information by sound, and an indicating device 8 are provided thereto.
