The video audio reproducing apparatus 100 determines audio output information for speakers 103 to 107 subjected to matching so as to form the correct sound field when a listener faces the viewing and listening desirable monitor on the basis of positional information of the speakers 103 to 107 connected to the video audio reproducing apparatus 100, positional information of monitors 101, 102 connected to the video audio reproducing apparatus 100, and information of the viewing and listening desirable monitor, and switches audio output signals to the speakers 103 to 107 on the basis of the determined audio output information.
