Abstract:
PURPOSE: To allow the equipment to be simply transferred to an image frame with a different aspect ratio by setting the aspect ratio, an information parameter and a cut-off frequency based on a specific information memory provided to an image pickup element.
CONSTITUTION: An image frame setting means 5 discriminates an aspect ratio of an image sensor 11 from a specific signal of a specific information memory 11 provided to a CCD block 1 and an operation means 6 selects and sets the aspect ratio. In the case of changeover operation, an aspect converter 3 sets an aspect ratio and a filter of a D/A converter 25 of an image processing means 4 and the processing parameter by an enhancement circuit 27 is set depending on the conversion condition. Then an image pickup signal from the image sensor 11 is subject to aspect ratio conversion in an aspect converter 3, the image processing means 4 conducts prescribed image processing and the result is subject to D/A conversion and the converted signal is outputted. Thus, the aspect ratio is simply converted and components for image blocks are used in common to reduce the cost.
