To provide a video conference apparatus which presents an actual display area out of a photographed video image displayed on a display screen of a video conference apparatus which receives the video image photographed by a camera, to a user of the video conference apparatus which transmits the photographed image.
The video conference apparatus to be used in a video conference system includes: a photographing area-acquiring section for acquiring photographing area information on a photographing area of a camera of the video conference apparatus concerned; an information acquiring section for acquiring content display area information on a content display area displayed on a display screen of the other video conference apparatus which receives a video image photographed by the camera transmitted by the video conference apparatus; an actual display area-determining section for determining, based on the photographing area information and the content display area information, an actual display area where the photographed video image is displayed on the display area of the other video conference apparatus; and a presentation control section for controlling a presentation device for presenting the actual display area within the photographing area of the camera based on the actual display area, to the user of the video conference apparatus.
