PURPOSE: To improve the using efficiency of a communication channel by providing an image sending means to apply divided plural signals on plural signal lines connected to each independent communication channel, a communication channel switching means, a conference mode designation means, a communication channel switching control means, and an image reproducing means.
CONSTITUTION: When the conference mode designation means 90 is activated, a switching control means 80 connects plural communication channel Ls of first pair to plural communication channels Lr of second pair by controlling a switching means DPBX. Meanwhile, the signal of a picked up image is applied on the image sending means Cs, and it is divided into the plural signals, and they are applied on each of the communication channels Ls of first pair, and are transmitted to each of the communication channels Lr of second pair via the switching means DPBX. The signal transmitted to the communication channels Lr of second pair is applied on the image reproducing means Cr, and the image reproducing means Cr synthesizes the signals transmitted to the communication channels Lr of second pair, then, reproduces one display image.
