PURPOSE: To obtain a video conference system excellent in the operability by suitably directing a direction of a television camera to a participant even when the location of participants and the number of participants are changed.
CONSTITUTION: A transmitter 21 is arranged to an optional position of plural participant's seats and plural sensors 20 sending a position of the transmitter 21 are arranged to a base seat 2 of a television camera 1. When a participant at of an optional participant seat 14 operates a local transmitter 21 to provide an output of a signal, the sensor 20 receives the signal to provide an output of it that a direction of the television camera 1 and a direction of the transmitter 21 are deviated to a deviation detector 22, which outputs to which direction in upper/lower/left/right directions the deviation is caused to a camera position controller 4. The television camera 1 is surely directed in the direction of the participant a1 of a participant's seat 14 having the transmitter 21 at all times by repeating the movement of the driver 3 in the direction of the seat 2 till the deviation between the television camera 1 and the transmitter 21 is eliminated to cancel the deviation.
