Abstract:

To improve a reception quality in long-distance transmission of a non-compression video signal.

A synchronization signal extraction circuit 2 of a video data transmission device 1-1 separates a data part including video data of a non-compression video signal frame from synchronization signal data, and an error correction adding circuit 3 adds error correction codes to the data part including the video data, and 10G-SDI frame construction circuit 5 adds the synchronization signal data to the data part, to which the error correction codes are added, and restructures the non-compression video signal frame according to a format of the non-compression video signal frame. An error correction circuit 17 of a video data receiving device 14-1 executes error correction processing using the error correction codes. By adding the error correction codes using a stuffing data region of the non-compression video signals, an error correction function can be added without increasing a jitter while keeping a data capacity.
