PURPOSE: To improve deterioration of a picture quality caused by a crosstalk, by making a track pitch of a field signal of the same frame narrower than a track pitch of a field signal of a different kind frame, and executing a recording.

CONSTITUTION: In the n-th frame, recording is executed so that a track pitch d1 by which signals of Fn,o and Fn,e are recorded, and the n-th and the (n)+1-th field signals, namely, a track pitch d2 of Fn,3 and Fn+1,o become d1<d2. As a result, when a read beam spot 7 is scanning an Fn+1,e field of the (n)+1-th frame, the beam 7 comes near to the adjacent signal Fn+1,o, too, and a crosstalk occurs, but the Fn+1,o signal and the Fn+1,e signal in the same frame have a high correlation as a picture signal, therefore, a large interference is not given. On the other hand, no interference signal enters by applying a tracking servo so that the beam 7 does not contact with an Fn+2,o signal of the (n)+ 2-th frame of the adjacent track.
