PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make enjoyable viewing a video continuously by turning on a power source key immediately even when a power source is inadvertently turned off, by controlling to stop the lighting of a light source when the delay time has elapsed after designating the turning-off of the power source.
SOLUTION: By depressing the power source key of a remote controller, a reception part receives a fact that the power source key has been depressed and a control part recognizes that the power source is turned off (S1). Thus, the control part transmits a signal to an audio control device so as to mute a sound from a speaker and transmits the signal to a picture display IC so as to mute a picture (S2). Then, the control part stops the supply of a lamp lighting signal LS to the power source PS after waiting for the specified delay time, for example, five seconds (S3). Thus, the lamp is turned off (S4). When a user turns off the power source because he goes to bed or he goes out, picture muting and sound muting are performed and then the light emission of the lamp is stopped after the delay time has elapsed.
