Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a video display apparatus (100) includes: a broadcast data input module (211) ; at least one data input module (260); and a frequency controller (236a). The broadcast data input module (211) is configured to input broadcast contents containing sound data. The data input module (260) is configured to input information containing sound data other than the sound data contained in the broadcast contents. The frequency controller (236a) is configured to receive the sound data, and configured to perform an operation allowing only frequencies within a necessary range to pass therethrough, the operation of the frequency controller (236a) being selectively enabled or disabled under control of the data input module (260).
