Abstract:

To provide a video display device prepared for a vehicle and capable of displaying images whose distortion is inconspicuous.

The video display device is provided with a display image preparation means 2 for preparing a display image obtained by projecting the vehicle from a prescribed visual point above the vehicle to a projection surface regulated by a projection coordinate system (deformed coordinate system) which is approximately orthogonal to the advancing direction of the vehicle and includes at least a 1st coordinate axis (x coordinate axis) a part or all of which is contracted or expanded on the basis of images picked up by a plurality of cameras 1a, 1b arranged in the vehicle, and a display 4 for displaying the prepared display image.
