PURPOSE: To improve bonding force between a liquid crystal panel and a flexible substrate and to obtain an excellent display surface by extending a color filter bonded to the liquid crystal panel and bonding it to the flexible substrate.

CONSTITUTION: The color filter 4 is bonded to the liquid crystal panel 2 through a pressure sensitive adhesive layer 3 which is formed on one surface of the filter 4 and a black coating film is formed on the other surface of the color filter 4. One side of the color filter 4 on the flexible substrate 6 side is extended so as to form an extension part 4a. The extension part 4a is bonded to be fitted to a corner where the panel 2 and the substrate 6 are butted by the pressure sensitive adhesive layer 3. Thus, the bonding strength is improved, and since adhesive is not used for bonding, the picture element of the color filter is prevented from disappearing and the direction of the display surface of the liquid crystal panel is prevented from varied, then the excellent display surface is obtained.
