Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance visibility of video by dynamically adjusting brightness of the video in accordance with a line-of-sight direction of a user, to increase a dynamic range for imaging, in a pseudo manner, in viewing a video captured by a panoramic camera on a head mounted display.SOLUTION: In a video display system, a video processing device for holding multiple pieces of video data captured by plural cameras and a video display device to be worn by a user are connected to each other. The video processing device generates panoramic video data having a range of 360 degrees around an installation area of the cameras by using the video data, and transmits the generated panoramic video data to the video display device. The video display device detects a line-of-sight direction of the user, receives the transmitted panoramic video data, extracts video data in a predetermined range containing a detection result of a sensor from the panoramic video data, adjusts brightness of the extracted predetermined range of the video data to brightness in a certain range, and displays the adjusted predetermined range of video data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
