To provide a video display system capable of providing a virtual space in which it is possible for a user to enjoy a high sense of presence and for a third person to enjoy from a point of view different from that of the user.
This video display system is provided with the same number of operating devices for moving virtual bodies to be operated in a virtual space and display devices for displaying videos in the virtual space as the number of the bodies to be operated, and the videos indicating the virtual space viewed from the respective bodies to be operated are displayed in the respective display devices. Also, this system is provided with another display device, and videos indicating at least one body to be operated and the surrounding virtual space are displayed at the displayed device. When the display device for displaying the videos indicating the virtual space viewed from the bodies to be operated is set as a head mounting type, the relative distance with the surrounding objects is measured by the display device itself, and user is warned of the possibility of impact as necessary so that safety can be ensured.
