Abstract:
To provide a technique capable of reducing the occurrence of blur of a video, even when including a single back light.SOLUTION: A video display system includes a single back light (111) for irradiating a liquid crystal panel (112) with light and performing impulse light emission control, a light emission control part (113) for allowing the back light to emit the light according to the drive timing of the liquid crystal panel, and a selection part (106) for selecting a part of the liquid crystal panel as an object range (202).
