Provided is a video reproduction device for performing streaming reproduction of video information distributed from a video distribution device according to a distribution request, the video reproduction device comprising: means for transmitting, upon receiving an instruction for reverse reproduction, a distribution request for reverse distribution and reproduction time information to the video distribution device; means for receiving, in order, GOP information and coded data in 1 GOP units distributed according to the distribution request; and means for storing, on the basis of GOP information allowing to discriminate coded data in 1 GOP units, the received coded data in 1 GOP units in a ring buffer classified into current GOP and future GOP in order of past reproduction time, and while shifting the coded data in 1 GOP units stored in the ring buffer to the future direction in GOP units, decoding the coded data in 1 GOP units stored in the current GOP of the ring buffer, thereby reverse-reproducing video information.
