Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance quality of an image in the case of compressing or expanding the image in a vertical direction by dividing an image pattern of one frame into a plurality of sub image patterns and storing video data belonging to the same sub image pattern to a same row address of a memory so as to use a conventional image memory without increasing the scale of the device.
SOLUTION: Data are written in a memory by dividing data into 24 blocks per one line. One block includes 30 samples. In the case of writing Y samples to the memory, first a load address enable signal (RAS) of the memory is fallen into an L level and a row address 21 is outputted in a timing when the RAS is set to L. Then a column address enable signal (CAS) is fallen to an L for each clock. Data of column addresses 22-0 to 22-9 are sequentially addressed to addresses in a timing when the CAS is set to L. The Y samples are given and stored in the memory in a timing when the data of the column addresses are given to the addresses.
