CONSTITUTION: When video data in a required editing method is inputted, the video data in a video equipment part 1 is read out by a control part 6 and is converted into editable video data by A/D-conversion, etc., in a video data input/output part 2, and is then transferred to a video data housing part 3. Then, the stored video data is sent to a video data editing part 4 to execute its editing by an editing command. At this time, when a layout change is requested by a user, for instance, a change in language to be used and a change in an operating method, etc., the layout change is performed by a layout change execution part 8 via a layout change request reception part 7. Then, when the disposition on a control table is changed, this is feasible by providing a layout editing part for enabling parts to be freely disposed and an execution part. By this method, the layout can be changed in accordance with the user's preference, and the operation can be facilitated.
