Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transform a digital input signal having vertical and horizontal dimensions to a digital output signal having horizontal and vertical dimensfons different from those of the digital input signal.
SOLUTION: A system 10 is a digital filter system for receiving digital signal information corresponding to a television/video signal as one input signal in one sample format and outputting the digital signal information in any sample format different from the input signal format and has a decimating filter 12, band limit filter 14 and interpolating filter 18. The decimating filter 12 and band limit filter 14 are provided while being combined with a single integrated circuit chip as shown in a block 16. Before thinning, band limitation is further performed.
