To obtain a video image to which proper exposure processing and concealing processing are automatically applied in response to a state of an object.
The video photographing apparatus grasps the intention as to whether or not each object is desirably concealed on the basis of its motion, transmission information and image processing, and applies exposure and concealment processing to each object depending on the state. For example, since only the size of an object A approaching a camera is made larger among three frames of photographed video images by the camera, the apparatus exposes only the object A and conceals the objects fading in the distance. The conceal processing includes a change in the concealed amount in response to the discrimination by a wireless tag for identifying the intention as to whether or not its own region is to be concealed by each object, the discrimination by a wireless tag of particularizing a user, identification of the face of the object or the like by image processing, and a change amount of the distance as to whether the object approaches the camera or leaves the camera or the like.
