PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus, a video display system, and a video processing method that can effectively prevent an afterimage phenomenon.SOLUTION: A video processing apparatus according to an embodiment is a video processing apparatus that creates a display video signal output to a liquid crystal display part that is driven by liquid crystal in a frame inversion system, and comprises a control part and a video signal processing part. The control part controls a vertical synchronous signal included in an interlace video signal input from the outside so that display disabled sections for a predetermined number of fields are set at a predetermined period with respect to the interlace video signal. The video signal processing part creates the display video signal on the basis of the interlace video signal to which the display disabled sections are set through the control of the vertical synchronous signal, and outputs the display video signal to the liquid crystal display part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
