Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the video RAM (V-RAM) of an improved type.
CONSTITUTION: Respective pixels are provided with a capacitor in a liquid crystal display(LCD) and the capacitor contains a liquid crystal material. In this case, the respective capacitors are used as video memory elements without using an external V-RAM. Refreshing is carried out by reading and refreshing not the V-RAM but the capacitors.
