Abstract:
To provide a video receiver which receives compressed video data, can perform scaling processing even with a small memory amount and suppresses electrical power consumption required when a partial video of the compressed video data is accessed.
A video receiver includes: a data reception section which receives data U in which a first data size Z after compression, which is obtained by compressing data of a fist data size P before compression, is guaranteed to be equal to or less than a data size B determined by a worst compression rate; and a memory which stores the data U. The data U is stored for each memory area W in a fixed size which becomes equal to or more than B of the memory.
