An apparatus controller 111 executes processing to recording media 6 and 7 by operating controllers 12 and 13 when an execution indication for the execution processing is input. At this point, the apparatus controller 111 executes the processing, referring to a state file in the recording media 6 and 7. A video management unit 112 writes the progress of the executed processing in the state file. A priority rate of the executed processing to an video clip or the like are recorded in advance in the state file. When an indication to restart the interrupted processing is received, a video recording apparatus restarts the processing from a processing interrupt position, referring to the progress at interruption.
