Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a recording data amount by adapting a difference from latest basic image data stored in a memory concerning input video data of a field, transmitting obtained differential data to an image compressing means and recording compression data at every field unit in a recording medium together with identifying information.
SOLUTION: Video data transmitted to an image compressing/extending circuit 14 through an adding/subtracting means 32 is adopted as I video data and differential data transmitted to the circuit 14 after a difference from basic video data is obtained by the means 32 is adopted as an P image. Video data transmitted from a differential block 12 is compressed by a JPEG system, for example, at every field unit in the circuit 14. Compression video data obtained by second FPGA 16 is transmitted to an additional information adding/ separating part 15. In the meantime, a microcomputer 40 obtains I/P identifying information from first FPGA 13 and transmits it to the part 15.
