A flowchart indicating image reproducing procedures includes: a step S24 of acquiring a video image comprising a plurality of frame images, generating a difference image between a reference frame image and a succeeding image and between the reference frame image and a preceding image, detecting the presence and absence of a moving body between the frame images in a prescribed region on the basis of the generated different image; a step S25 of determining the reproducing direction on the basis of the result of the detection; and steps S26, S27 of sequentially reproducing frame images from the reference frame images in the determined direction.
