The video reproducing apparatus is provided with: a video input part 131 for acquiring video data and film-shooting information contained in the video data; a video/film-shooting information storage part 132 for storing the video data and the film-shooting information; a film-shooting information analytic part 133 for analyzing the film-shooting information; a display method selecting part 134 for accepting the selection of a display method for an icon indicating the video data; a drawing reading part 136 for reading map data; a drawing display part 135 for displaying the read map data on a display device; a position indicator 137 for displaying an icon on a part on the map applicable to a photographing position or a position of an object to be photographed ; a symbol attribute display part 138 for changing the display of the icon on the basis of the selected display method and the analyzed result of the film-shooting information analytic part 133; and a selected video reproducing part 139 for accepting the selection of the displayed icon and reproducing video data corresponding to the selected icon.
