Abstract:
To provide an electronic device which can change resolution of a video image into that suitable for a connected display device irrespective of the display device.
A setup menu control part 14 presets displayable resolution of the display device to be connected, a resolution discrimination part 12 discriminates whether resolution of a video signal is within the range of the set resolution. When the resolution of the video signal is outside the range of the set resolution, a resolution conversion part converts the resolution of the video signal within the range of the set resolution to output the video image.
