To provide a video reproduction device capable of preventing missing of a user's favorite scene which is included in scenes skipped by skip operation during viewing of video data.

The video reproduction device comprises: a microcomputer unit 11 which acquires video data and performs processing with respect to an operation signal by user's operation; a first screen generation unit 13 which decodes and outputs the video data; a second screen generation unit 14 which decodes and outputs the video data obtained by subjecting the reproduction position of the first screen generation unit 13 to processing based on a skip operation signal input to the microcomputer unit 11; and a video composition unit 15 which composes the video data output from the first screen generation unit 13 and the second screen generation unit 14. Moreover, it is possible to stop output from the second screen generation unit 14 and to keep output from the first screen generation unit 13.
