PURPOSE: To form diversified synthesis picture by providing an auxiliary device having a 1st memory, a picture generating means reading plural picture data from a 2nd memory and generating a picture signal and loading freely the auxiliary device to a main device removably.
CONSTITUTION: A title data stored in a ROM 9 in an external storage section (auxiliary device) 8 is inputted to a control section 11 through a connection section 10 from the external storage section 8. The control section 11 sends the title data to a picture generating section 15 in response to the state of switches 12-14 and the picture generating section 15 writes the inputted data to a memory 16 and the data of the memory 16 is read by a command of the control section 11 to generate a title picture signal and a synthesis circuit 5 synthesizes it with the video signal. Since the connection section 10 is removable, the external storage section 8 is replaced with other type. Thus, even when the capacity of the memory 16 is comparatively small, diversified title or the like is displayed.
